Is it possible to make a powerpoint with a Mac computer, and play it on a Windows?

I have Microsoft Word 2008 , for Macs. And I have this presentation I have to do for Information Technology. And I'd like to use my Mac, because it's easier. But at school the computers are Windows Vista, so would it work if I burned it from a Mac, and played it on Windows Vista?
