...taking it to the dealership? I need to replace the cruise control buttons but I am afraid of setting off the airbag. I am looking for an exploded view of the steering wheel assembly or a thorough explanation on how to disassemble the steering wheel to access the cc buttons for replacement.
 
yes you can with a good understanding. First and foremost disconnect the battery and wait at least 1-5minutes (for the reserve) before starting. There should be screws in the sides of the steering wheel that hold the bag in. Take those out then pull the bag and the switches should be easy to get to. When reconnecting the battery, turn the key over to on and make sure no one is in the car. Just in case it was to go off, which it shouldnt
