Is it possible to stream live content from the internet to my tv threw xbox live?

I want to watch the Chelse vs Man U game on the internet. i was wondering if i could stream this from my desktop (and uncomfortable seat) into my living room with the big tv. is this possible? or can i only stream files that are saved onto my computer?
 
if not really sure but look up windows media centre which can connect to your xbox and lets you stream through xbox live
