Well a friend of mine was using my computer for bit torrent and I didn't think anything of it but then one day my internet was shut off, We called the provider and they said are I.P. was traced seeding (I think it was seeding, it was a while ago) illegal downloads and they gave us a list. My friend was downloading movies, More recent movies, I.E. I love you Beth cooper, Sex Drive, Jennifer's Body, Etc.

I've download TONS! of music before this has ever happened and nothing was reported and it's not real popular stuff either mostly ska and indie stuff, SO I was wondering if after about 3 months would it be ok to start again if I'm only downloading music and nothing else?

You didn't learn your lesson? Next time you may not only lose internet service, but lose your freedom too. Stealing is wrong, period, and you will be eventually caught, again!

Don't listen to anyone that gives you an answer that basically says "shame on you, don't do it again". 90% of people online do what you do. You should be able to download without much worry. I would advise against sharing for long periods of time though. I've been given warnings myself from my internet service provider. The worst they'll do is shut down your internet as indicated in their letters. If that happens, simply switch to another provider in your area.

Well, no, just because you were let out of jail 2 years ago doesn't mean you can commit a crime again. I would recommend just not using bit torrent anymore. Even though it wasn't you, you shouldn't let friends do that.
