is it worth it to restore a 1988 honda crx?

its in good shape now but i wanna paint it , turbo it ans stuff like that do you think its worth it?i am only paying 1800$ for it and its in excellent condition.
its an si by the way

You're paying a bit too much for this car.

For that money, you're better off finding yourself a nice '92 or so Civic hatch (maybe even an Si). More horsepower, newer, and probably about the same price.

Or, if you're just looking for straight up horsepower, you could probably find an 80-something Camaro to restore for the same price...

it depends on the condition, you said its good shape clean. so it may be worth it.

but consider for that price $1800 you could pay one thousand more and get a newer 92-00 civic.

depends if you like the older crx's.

i think its a classic honda and looks great as long as there clean.
