I want to major in journalism at college. I am afraid of the job prospects though. I don't really plan on being a JOURNALIST, but more of a writer. I have computer skills and a diploma as a computer tech. I have heard a communications-related field is never a bad thing to major in. People keep saying that newspapers are going out of business so therefore journalism sucks, but they don't account for the fact that their publication is all going online. Good or bad? If it doesn't work out, what are some examples of things I could do? (I am really leaning towards technical writer/Web editor... could I be a court reporter maybe?) Thanks.
