...MMA? I like grappling and I do one lesson of Judo and one lesson of BJJ a week, I'm hardcore with my Muay Thai, I train mostly for my potential Muay Thai career, but I do the grappling for the fun of it and because it has a lot of health benefits and there are no other ways of training Muay Thai those nights (I train Muay Thai 6 days a week Monday - Friday on a night and Sat morning and after noon. Judo is on Saturday night and BJJ on a Sunday night).
I have been thinking about doing some MMA, I have a great standing game, but the only ground game I have is just kinda random bits of knowledge I have picked up from going to random lessons.
The Judo is easier for me to commit to, but the BJJ guys are known for ruling the MMA scene.
The problem is with Judo, that there isn't as much groundwork at the classes I go to, but BJJ at the club I go to, most of the lesson is on the ground. The other problem with Judo is that they don't allow leg, wrist or spinal locks at the club I go to either, but Judo is still a hell of a lot more fun in my opinion (note I said "In my opinion" BJJ guys out there".
Is Judo a good art to bring to the MMA table?
