Is Life of Pi controversial about religion? Should someone that is very

religious not read it? I heard that Life of Pi is a philosophical type book with deep meanings. I was wondering if it was like The Alchemist in that is centered around a philosophical stand point that very devote and religious people might not like or get angered by it.

Religion should NEVER prevent someone from engrossing them into the pleasurable book, or any book for that matter.
