Is maintaining a 2 stroke dirt bike easy or hard?

Hi there i want prove my dad wrong that i can look after a 2 stroke he thinks 2 strokes are hard to look after and expensive, so what do i say to him to make me sound like i know what im doing and if he argues back what should i say in a non angry way to bum him out? thanks
