Is msn and facebook free on nokia c3?

i got this phone a couple of months back and when i ran out of credit, my facebook still worked. not google or any other sites, just facebook. but when i got my phone back a couple months later ( while it was turned off ) facebook didnt work. so im not sure what has happened , maybe a glitch, but for a while u can have free facebook.
