I'm writing a story and I thought of some idea for my main character, though it kinda sounds like something that many books and animes would use. It's a fantasy story, by the way.
So the thing is like this: Satan, who wants the current world destroyed, had a battle with God, with Satan ultimately losing. Being superior beings, they can't actually die completely. What Satan did a little after losing is: He placed himself inside a newborn human to act as the human's soul.
That human is my main character. He grows up normally at first, but as he reaches his teens, he notices that there's something different about him. Eventually he even realizes that he has satanic powers. As he grows up, he develops Satan's desires and feelings: Wanting to destroy the world. In short, the story is about a teenage dude who is Satan's incarnation, you could say.
So, before developing this idea, I wanna ask you guys if it's already taken because something tells me that these kinds of ideas are overused as hell. If you know a book, an anime series or whatever that uses this idea, please tell me. I want to stay original, you see?
Thanks.
