Is my non-working DVD Player worth anything?

I have a DVD player that stopped loading. About 3 years old. When you put a DVD in it just keeps saying Loading, then it will eventually say No Disc. I know it is not worth having it repaired because with the cost you may just buy a new one but can I get something for it if someone wants to mess with it do you think? Maybe $5. I have the DVD Player w/ remote and the video and audio cable with it.
 
You can post it on craigslist and put that it is broken a lot of people will buy broken stuff for the working parts
 
Well i'd bet you that the laser either burned out or is extremely dirty. But if there is a tech geek where you live you might get $3 for it if you are lucky. But don't get your hopes up. Most people would only want it for the laser anyway.
 
Ask yourself would you buy it if somebody else offered it to you?Also try another disc just to make sure it is not the disc.I see DVD players in the garabage all the time they do not have the same life as a tv but they are cheaper.
