Is my 'petting agreement' with my kittens a normal thing?

my kittens are very fluffy, soft and cute and they know it.

my kittens only let me pet them at night only - during day time they are busy playing and wont let me pet them unless i give them some nice treat.

I was wondering if others have similar agreements with their kittens or cats ??

I have. Whenever any kitten/cat in the whole neighbourhood feels like having a stout and malicious kick in its groin for free - it invariably seeks me out. Abhijit.
