No, there is hatred among non-religious people just as much as in religious people.
The Bible and the Quran don't so much have messages of hate as they have material that can be used as fuel for hatred by people who hate others.
Plus, what about the messages of positive values that are found in scripture, and the positive effects that religion has? You don't want to get rid of that.
