...quarter mile time? 135hp 9500rpm 436 pound bike non gsx
i want something that does 13s or higher but still want to be able to ride I need decent gas mileage because with 5 dollor gallon gas im done with v6 and v8 sports cars.
it would be my first bike but i am used to dirt bikes only and fast cars i am a mechanic and drive stuff all day long and this needs to be able to commute
good or bad choice?

Kawasaki Ninja 250 ... 1/4-mile acceleration, 14.5 secs

& thats a fast bike for a new rider....

I don't know the quarter mile time but you can go from 0 to dead in 3.2 seconds.

Driving stuff all day....from the parking space to the garage bay doesn't count.

You need your head examined: 1,000cc, 135 hp for your first bike??? Would you buy a 600 hp model as your first car?
Riding dirt bikes, being a mechanic and driving cars all have NOTHING to do with riding a high-powered street-bike. 13-second quarter miles are tame stuff in the motorcycling world. The Suzuki SV650 V-twin has 69 bhp and does 13.5 second 1/4 miles. It's at the upper limit of what you should be considering as a first street-bike. You obviously have no concept of the power and performance in the sport-bike world.
Start small; learn; survive; move up gradually.

If you can afford the bike you probably wont be able to afford the insurance assuming some one is prepared to actually take u on, check it out 1st.
