...worse? In terms of economy and technology? I read an article describing the future as a very nice place. We have made billboards to produce water, underground gardens, treatments to cure sicknesses, and the poor in America and other places are living nicer than ever. BUT an economist in Africa (where things are not so good) has described that things will be much much worse. The economies are worsening and going bankrupt for instance.

I live in America, and people keep telling me like that economist that we will soon be as bad as Africa. No colleges, no cities, no technology advancements, no nothing. Due to overpopulation and pollution, things are getting much worse. THOUGHTS.....? I want to be optimistic and believe that report done by brilliant scientists BUT Steven HAwkings has said we will be extinct in under 100 years so now i am sad?

Are things going to get better, or worse?
 
The USA isn't in a total craphole yet but we are getting there. Aristocracy is back in full swing and corporations dominate every aspect of our lives, whether we chose to believe it or not. The middle and lower classes are not getting benefits of lower-level employment. The hiring process is sill a hurdle, especially in lower-level jobs, all thanks to UNICRU and other computerized hiring systems. The manufacturing sector on our soil is due for a major comeback, as we still do more importing of products from other countries' than exporting of our own goods. The housing prices, property, and utility taxes still cannot be quenched with proper income, all thanks to greedy bureaucracy. Our healthcare is a joke, most people don't get what they need while others who are perfectly healthy do.
 
The whole world seems to be on a kick to make the rich richer and the middle class poor. It kinda looks like it'll worse for many, but better for a few.
 
Have you ever experienced life in a third world country? Obviously not. If you had, you wouldn't keep on repeating yourself. You'd feel ashamed and embarrassed about continuously asking this question.

Go and look up places like Kibera in Kenya or Tondo in the Philippines. People there could survive for a year on the amount of money your laptop cost. Read the stories, look at the pictures of the slums and the living conditions, see how unfortunate some people really are. I'm sure 99.9% of them would happily trade places with you. You don't know how lucky you are.
 
Hawking didn't walk on water. He can't even get out of his wheelchair. Listen to the person who did walk on water. Jesus predicted terrible times in the last days. However those days won't last too long and when they are over the wonderful Millennium will begin. During the Millennium children will be able to play with lions and snakes and not be harmed. Everything is going to be perfectly safe and happy.

The technology is leading to the mark of the beast. Ask yourself how the thieving lying bankers are robbing the people of Cyprus? They are using technology.
