Is the GSM HTC Hero digitizer also compatible with the T-Mobile G2 Touch device?

I own a T-Mobile G2-Touch which is also the GSM HTC Hero only branded by T-Mobile.
My touch screen digitizer is malfunctioning thus I want to replace it, will the normal GSM Hero digitizer work with my device?
