I currently have the Samsung Intensity (the first one). It's time for me to get an upgrade and I found the LG voyager and was wondering if it's a good phone. So is it?? Please also include details, pros, and cons about it. Thanks : )
Also:
Is it a smartphone??
Do you have to pay extra fir any data plans besides the usual texting & calling fee?

I loved my Voyager but it did have quirks. It wasn't really good (at all) for mobile internet. Sometimes it would freeze or restart. The camera was cumbersome and sometimes it wouldn't work right. I'd take a picture then have to go bacl and see that the picture file was corrupted. The keyboard was better than the one on my samsung reality (the phone I got afterwards). It was great for music and playing video, and that's what I used for watching downloaded TV shows before I got an iPod.

It's not a smartphone - but it's also not a "feature phone" either. When I got it, I had to get a $9.99/month data plan (that was the limited data plan at the time) and Verizon would probably require that plan if you activated now. Verizon is trying to end that class of "nearly-smartphone" which has a lot of features but isn't a droid, iphone or whatever.

Oh yeah - it has a physical keyboard, but not a slider. Instead, it's a sideways clamshell, like a cigarette case. This makes the phone bulkier. I actually prefer that form factor, but most phone makers seem to prefer sliders. If you've ever seen the env touch, the voyager is like an older and less-slim version of that.
