...if no internet activity is detected? I have a wireless broadband internet connection that stays connected, but after a few hours, it won't respond to any internet activity anymore. When I manually disconnect my modem then reconnect it, it comes back. I would like to know if there is a program that monitors my bandwidth and do this automatically whenever it doesn't detect any activity.

I had issues with an Actiontec DSL modem that did this. I upgraded the firmware and it solved the issue.

I am not aware of software to do this, but you might try disabling the wireless card in device manager when you are done using it. Or if you are downloading things while you are away, you might have your computer set up to shut down after the download is completed.

Your current software should contain all you need. Set your computer software to hibernate mode at whatever length of time you choose. EG: 10 minutes, then go to settings in the I.P.window. select general, select standby, select 'standby or hibernate mode, close connection'. This will disconnect the internet when your computer goes to hibernate.
