that BLUETOOTH works? you know like choosing a file and pressing send through wifi then the pc searches for available pcs around and send the file directly
i want to avoid the confusing configuration of the network and networking group especially that i'm using 2 pcs one with windows 7 and the other with xp

If you're talking about local wi-fi, you'd do just as well to get a portable USB thumb drive and copy files to it on one computer then copy from it to the other one. You could also look at DropBox:

www.dropbox.com

Install on both computers. It installs a Dropbox on each computer (or other device, like smartphone), and sends any file you put into it. It works via internet, rather than wi-fi. It does include LAN sync but that would require setting up a network.
