Hi i was wondering if anyone knew how to perhaps get off tpn if one could tolerate food or any other alternatives to tpn i know tpn can be risky and they are a hassle. I'm looking for other options if any?
TPN is only given to very sick people who no longer have functioning digestive tracts for various reasons. The alternative to TPN in this situation is death by starvation.
