that I have...? ...stored on my cell phone?
My phone is an LG Chocolate 2 (VX8550) from Verizon, which contains a decent music player with 2GB of removable (microSD) storage and Bluetooth communications. My car is a 2002 VW GTI 1.8T with the pretty good Monsoon audio system, which includes an AM/FM radio as well as CD and cassette players, but no Bluetooth support and no inputs for an MP3 player. I was hoping I could insert some kind of device in the cassette deck, perhaps, that would accept input from the cell phone via Bluetooth or a cable.

I forget what you hook up but you set it up to a radio station then you can use it through a wire.

My stepson has the Choc and has an adapter from the phone to a mini-jack socket.

You can also get dummy cassettes that have a mini-jack cable coming out of them - transfers music via the cassette head. I used to play a portable CD player in my car this way and it was fine, although consider the possibility you might hear the whirring of the cassette reel.

Alternatively, if you have money to burn it's possible I'm sure to get something like a bluetooth receiver wired into your car radio.
