Is there somewhere I can go to convert my old VHS tape to DVD disc? Best Buy? Radio Shack? etc... I only need to do it once and do not want to waste money on expensive equipment.

You capture the vhs tape with a dv converter.

Here's an IMPORTANT caveat: you'll be able to do your own generally without difficulty, in terms of copyright infringement.

Prerecorded tapes, such as movies, are another matter entirely, as the studio retains the copyright. Attempting to convert these would be copyright infringement.
