Is this a good introduction paragraph for my science fair research paper?

tell me how i can make it better? In the race to find the next fresh new source of electricity, a healthy alternative for the earth and all its inhabitants is sound. Sound does not leave behind damaging gas or waste products. Sound waves are just pressurized air being pushed and pulled. Another name for these pushes and pulls are compressions and rarefactions. They are alternating areas of high and low pressure in the air. As a vibrating object moves back and forth, it sets these areas up. As the surface of the object moves forward in the air, it pushes it, creating a compression. When the surface moves back, air is pulled, or produces a rarefaction. To create an audible noise, a vibration must have a rate of at least 20 compressions and rarefactions per second.
