Alright, so the main character's name is Yohan, an elf prince from the kingdom of Seronia. his father, Lord Giltia, is a sadistic warmonggering bastard who cares very little for him. When Yohan is about 6 (actually 12, but elves age age twice as slowly and stop at when they look about 25) he becomes interested in swordsmanship and asks his father if he will train him. his father refuses at first, but then, realizing this is a chance to test Yohan's abilities, agrees. the condition is that he must bring him 7 swords which belonged to an ancient hero and are scattered across the land. being only 6, Yohan is still very naive and agrees, thinking it will be a fun adventure. Seronia is a dangerous (but beautiful) land filled with perilous wilderness and fearsome creatures and Giltia knows that Yohan will probably die if he is not strong. the story starts out pretty happy go lucky children's cartoon-esque, but after a while it starts to get hella violent, nitty gritty and crazy.
fortunately (though not to his knowledge) Yohan is extremely powerful despite his gentle, introverted, and happy go lucky nature. even so, the trial ahead will test and push his limits and help him to grow from a meek, innocent child into a spunky, quick witted, passionate and heroic warrior pushed to maturity beyond his years. (the more I develop him though, Yohan's personality is turning out to be extremely feminine and I'm contemplating making him gay or bi because his personality in many ways reminds me more of Joan of Arc. his reactions are also decidely feminine and in one seen a sorceress actually tries to rape him. I probably won't end up doing this, but it's a thought)
other traits of his personality are: artistic, intuitive, idealistic, friendly, and loves animals and small children. his hobbies include: practicing magic, playing with his friends (most of them are animals, but he has a few friends), playing the ocarina (he was very much influenced Link lolz) as well as being a wonderful actor and singer (dramatic coloratura soprano)
