is this love interest to cliche?

15 year old Vannessa Fange's curiosity gets the better of her when an unknown project is commencing in her father's company. She becomes a genetically altered heroin. However, she is now a ticking time bomb. What has suddenly given her new freedoms and opportunities is slowly restricting and killing her. Problems form and choices are made, and death is inevitable.

Okkie dokie, so just a quick like synopsis thingy. So my main charrie ends up falling in love with the son of a crime lord, whom has been controlled by his father for most of his life. *Please note the guys father is one of the main villains*. Do you think the fact that she falls in love with a villain is to cliche? The son was never per say evil, but he was bad. He eventually breaks free from his father power and blarg blarg blarg, they fall in love and what not. Is that to cliche or something? or is it unique?
 
It's a cliche, but it's a cliche that people can both hate and love.

Personally, I think it's alright (I'm not the best person to ask about love in stories, as I'm not too keen on it usually. I'm just not that sort of person) and it will do, but try maybe bringing some originality to it, some kind of twist.

By the way, I like the story idea! I know you didn't ask for this, but I would definitely be interested in reading something like that.

That's sort of cliche, but I like when the love interest isn't a perfect guy.
I prefer when he has some bad traits.
So, if you think you can pull it off well, keep it.
