I think all politicians and the journalists who advocate them are liars. Democrat, Republican or whatever, the whole bunch. We little people support the liars we agree with. Politics is fundamentally the attainment of power, and no political party has ever been completely honest in attaining its support base. It's all a big game, and sometimes they throw us a bone to shut up, but ultimately you and I are the losers.
