is torrent safe as rapidshare?

hello,i know that anyone can upload virus in both rapidshare and torrent but my question is that is torrent safe as rapidshare? can users in torrent sevice hack your computer or stolen your password in this network?

thepiratebay.org is OK but the best for me is mininova.org. torrents are usually safe. i never found a virus when i downloaded loads of movies,games,music etc

yes. use piratebay.org to do it. click download this torrent and yes. then drag and drop torrent into torrent window... it should download fine!!

Neither are safe.But with torrents you can read peoples comments usally.
either way.Have good antivirus to scan for trojans and malware.
Don't worry about passwords as they are safe.

Well.. rapidshare are just files uploaded by other people.. So there is still the same chance of a virus as if it is from any other file sharing site. And usually torrents are safe, you just have to be smart with it.. if you're going to download torrents, get them from thepiratebay.org and go by the torrents that have the most positive feedback and seeders/leechers. I wouldn't suggest downloading any torrents from rapidshare, i dont' trust the people.
