Is using cellphone as modem more secure for downloading torrents?

I want to download torrent files. Can the IP address of my phone still be traced back to me? Is it any different that using a regular PC?
 
your IP address is what they trace yes but only to pinpoint where you are geographically.
ANYTHING that connects to the internet has something called a MAC address every computer every phone every laptop has its own MAC address that is how they trace it back to you.

ANYTHING you do on the internet can be traced
