looking to buy a used late 90's volvo because everyone tells me they last forever and are very realiable. is this true? and which model and year is the best for realibility?
If you're looking for reliability, the late '90s Volvos are not a good choice. The last decently reliable Volvo was the 940 series, which went away in the mid-'90s. The 240 series was and still is probably the most reliable of all the Volvo line. Of my thirteen volvos, my '79 242 was the reliability king and the '98 S90 I bought new was little more than a nightmare. Please don't consider a late '90s Volvo. There are better options for you.
