America is one of best countries ever formed, thats a FACT. Its story and history is legendary i might go to say. Yeah, i have an extreme sense of Nationalism, this is true. But im getting sick of people saying, "America is full of fat, lazy, stupid people." how do you think we got this far? sitting on our asses? its a joke, and another thing, i hate when British people bitch about WW2, without us Nazi Germany would of taken Britain right out of their hands, so don't say we didn't help you guys until the very end, we were in that war for almost 5 years helping u guys. Are people just jealous of America? what are your thoughts? and one more thing, why do people even complain at all? we have sent aid to alot of countries over the years, and we dont get shit back, its not like we are obligated to pulling money out of asses for you other countries. And why do American complain? if you don't like America then why dont you just leave?

B.Q.: Whats Frances problem with us?

I am an American and America IS full of fat, lazy, stupid people -- many of whom are currently in politics.
For example, the Republicans have just said they plan to block every bill the Democrats put forward including dropping the Bush tax cuts (which further squeeze the middle class at the expanse of the extremely wealthy) and universal health care (also a question of wealth).
America is currently in the throes of one of the worst financial crises in years, thanks to corporate greed and individual gullibility (all those hyped up mortgages based on unrealistic evaluations).
There is still an uncomfortable number of Americans who believe that the democratically-elected President Barack Obama is not only NOT a U.S. citizen but also a Muslim, intent on "destroying" the U.S., neither of which is true. (But you wouldn't know it reading some of the posts on Yahoo!Answers.) These same people hold Obama responsible for the massive unemployment (most of which was inherited from his predecessor). Even the Republican National Party chairman tried to blame the Afghanistan war on Obama (it was Bush).
It is admirable to be patriotic but not at the expense of intelligence.
I love America; I don't like some of the things some Americans do.
That's a huge difference.

France has always had a problem with any other country besides France, that is how they are, British are the same, can't stand the fact we left their island hundreds of years ago and built a better and bigger country, as to Americans who complain, they should all go to a third world country and live in it for one year then come back and complain about the USA>

Yes, I'm sick of it and I don't even live there. Seems to stem from an inferiority complex.
People in glass houses . . . . .

I live in the United States - and I could not care less what others think of this country.

It's where I was born and raised - great place. But if I were born and raised somewhere else I would think that was a great place to.

I didn't choose to be born here - I think I'm lucky, but I have nothing to be prideful for - I didn't do anything.

I think you need to worry about your day to day life, who you are able to help personally. How you go about living your life to the best of your ability. Don't stress the stuff you have no control over. who cares what other people say about where you live?

Yes,the ones that complain are the ones that take everything free, I will be glad to escort those out that don't want to live here.

Yeah, the US is a great country, but they also have a reputation for being ignorant bullies and inserting themselves in conflicts which do not nessesarily involve them, and a large proportion of the population IS overweight. That's not fabricated, it's true. Now, plenty of Americans are not overweight, just as plenty of them are open minded, intelligent people but it's just a case the negative standing out more than the positive does. No need to get bent out of shape, it is what it is.
