Isn't it annoying when people never pick up the phone?

My mom, my bf's friend, and cousin rarely picks up the phone! It's so annoying, especially if it's something important and I need to get ahold of them...

most times I hear it's because they 'accidentally' put it on silent, they forgot their phone, its dead, whatever. It's so annoying...
 
Not really.
I give them the benefit of the doubt.
If my emergency was real I'd call 911.
 
I agree with you, but have you ever had to share a land line with young adults who can't afford cell phones??? The darn thing rings 22 hours a day and it's never for us. We have even stopped looking at the Caller I.D. We listen to the machine and if it's for us, we pick up.
 
Poor you. I'm sure you have just ever so many really, really important things to get a hold of these people immediately for. Did it ever occur to you that perhaps you are a pest? Send an SMS, or leave a message on the voice mail. I'm sure the world will continue without you getting an immediate answer to your oh so important query.

And, get over yourself.
 
ya. Its pretty annyoing. Sometimes i tell my friend to call me for our group project for school and she never does. So i call her and she doesn't pick up the phone and its really important because we need to work on this project. The next day she is just like "oh i forgot" and ya.:P

One wonders how life was even possible before the telephone. And now everyone, even in third world backwaters, often with hardly a penny to their name, has a mobile and call and text their friends constantly.
