Isn't it ironic that a VCR is still necessary, while a DVD player is obsolete?

All of my computers have a DVD drive. My TVs have a DVD drive included. It makes no sense to have a DVD player.

I do know that DVRs exist, but they are a pain to set up. I just want to record something, and not think much about it.

However, I do like to record TVs shows. So, a VCR is still necessity for me.

Isn't it funny the way DVD players lost their usefulness faster than VHS cassettes?

DVRs are a pain to use and VCRs are not? You must be living in another world.

A Computer with a TV tuner card can work as a DVR as well - so your logic makes no sense.
Unless you have old VCR tapes, the VCR is useless.
