Don't think the Israelies would agree to that, might find some of the Palestinians might though. Arabs have a big claim on this land, greater than the Israelies in my eyes. The only claim the Israelies have come from stories from the bible, most of which is now known to be B/S, yet was evidence enough for them to be given the land by people who have no claim what-so-ever on it but a vested interest in having an friend in the middle east.
 
Unfortunately it's the sad consequence of any bitter conflict that the 'other side' gets dehumanised.

To make out that it's some sort of uniquely Jewish or Israeli trait is nonsensical.
 
If the government put a compulsory purchase order on you house and kicked you out and then someone else moved in then would you have a greater right to live their than the new tenants?
 
It's not just 'stories from the Bible'. There is plenty of solid historical evidence showing where Israel existed - and don't forget that not all Jews were driven out. There were always some Jews living in the Holy Land, all the way through it's occupation by the Arabs.

Yes, indeed, but I can honestly say not to the same degree or extreme.

just so we're clear, that is NOT an unbiased site. the point of me posting that was to show that even the palestinian propaganda shows the israelites were there before the arab muslims.
 
Seems the western world has a lot to answer for in the middle east and should be doing something to help other than pumping in weapons.
 
Did you know that in the UK the offence of illegally importing & exporting of firearms is prefixed with the word knowingly. I have alway found that strange.
 
Sorry to disappoint, but Israelis & Palestinians are exactly the same people genetically, so in a sense neither was 'there first'
 
Did anyone catch a program on Channel 4 (UK) last night called "Judah and Mohamed", it was about the lives of two teenagers, one in Israel and one in Palestine. The views expressed by the Israeli lad were quite extreme and aggressive as opposed to the moderate and somewhat peaceful Palestinian lad, and this despite his violent arrest by the Israeli security forces. Of course this does not really prove anything as these are only two people, but still an interesting insight. Was also interesting to see how the school teachers on both sides taught a different history of events.
 
As I pointed out earlier, traditionaly being a Jew is based on genetics through the maternal line, being a Muslim is based on belief not birthright.



This may not be unique to the de-humanisation of 'others' but it is certainly different to being either a Christian or Muslim.

You seem to be in the know, why dont you tell us how many don't chose a diffrent religion?
