Israel Blockades Lebanon

That should be a third as many I think

Jeez you guys seem to be re-writing history as well as genetic science to fit 'your version'

no Muslims have rewritten history to favor their political views against Israel! No way!

You need lessons in simply sentence parsing. No Palestinian suicide bombers, no need for the fence. It's a wall only where the area is threatened by snipers.

That's OK then Do we just build a wall around any area with terrorists.
Great solution

Official UN figures quote around 4 Million Palestinian refugess between 1948 & 2002, with another 1.5 million 'displaced' but not given official UN refugee status.

So around a third would be correct according to UN figures.

I agree, put convicted terrorists in jail, but what about the vast majority of civilians?

Ah are you talking about the USA's other allies in the Middle East per chance? That'd be the Suadi Wahabists then.

You gotta hand it to the US, they can certainly be on both sides at once

Of course the definition of refugee for everybody else is the person displaced, not their offsprings. The UN figure for the Palestinians displaced in 1948 is 711,000. Could be low. Most figures I've heard quote was around 750,000. Bear in mind that a majority did not flee Israel, but relocated to other portions of the WB and Gaza.

Refugee definition as per UNHCR

Refugee definition as per UNRWA

The 2 are radically different. It is interesting to note that under the 1947 partition plan, there were just over 400,000 Arabs living in what was to be Israel. Not all of them fled, yet we still have 750,000 refugees.

I mean the PLO, Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria, Iran, Saddam's Iraq. We have pictures of Hezbollah rewriting the present. Its called spin!

Tut tut, all those fake reports from the BBC that I've been watching. Great special effects though, it looked just like a real country that had been annihilated. Silly me

And the whole world but the US & Blair have been completely fooled by it

yes. Hezbolah is non-violent group. They nevey killed US Marines in 82 or take US civilian hostages in the 80's or conduct raid into Israel against Israel soldiers or fire Iranian missles into civilan areas in Israel from civilan area with Lebanon. The Western media made all that up.

So according to you, the racist Jews of Israel can't build a wall around the terrorists, can't bomb them, and can't shoot them. What are they supposed to do then; play patty-cake and read them nursery ryhmes? How would you solve Israel's problem?

Here it is again... there's just no way to please you is there? We can't fight the terrorists, and we can't be friends with the terrorists. I suppose you would have us stick our heads in the sand and pretend they don't exist like the continental Europeans do?

Well, the US seem to do both at the same time quite easily!

You see, the contradiction here is the US maintains very close political & economic relationships with some of the countries that refuse to accept the legitimacy of Israel(Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.) whilst denouncing groups that do this too.

Excuse me if I find these direct contradictions a little confusing

You seem to have missed the whole point here.

They are not doing this to terrorists, they are doing it first and foremost to civilians & children.

Lets face it, you guys were ignoring terrorism until recently. In fact openly funding it. It was only 9/11 that prompted your 'war on terror'.

This is a gross over-statement. The US was practically jumping up and down screaming "hello, we have a terrorist problem!" to the rest of NATO prior to 9/11, almost all of it falling on the deaf ears of people who were convinced all Islamic Terror groups paled in comparison to the IRA or RAF. During the 9/11 attacks, before the towers even fell, I already had guessed what was going on, and who was responsible. After all, I had been part of the responses to the Cole and the African Embassy bombings. Didn't take a genius to connect the dots.

The correct thing to say was that it took 9/11 to change the fundamental thought process from one of a law enforcement matter to one of a war-fighting matter. This shift however, has still not taken hold in most NATO countries who continue to underestimate the threat posed to them by UBL, even after the London and Spain bombings.
