It seems that My Husband has turned into an appliance assasin?

How do I stop him from trying to help me? He has been layed off for about a week now and in that time he has destroyed or ruined three major appliances in my home. He says it happens when he is trying to help me with the house work. I am at work and he decides to vaccum and about ten minutes later the vaccum blows up or he wants to help with the laundry and the dryer fried itself while he was using it.

I love him for trying to help but frankly it is getting expensive to have him help. Any suggestions here?????
