Itouch frozen at logo screen, Help please!?

I had a itouch but had to get a refurb one from apple with my warrenty because the other one didnt work. Now i have the refurb one and its been 6 months but today i tried turning it on and it was FROZEN at the LOGO screen. i tried everything like hold the home button and top botton for 10 secs. I even let the battery die so i could i could see what happens if it charged. All it does is shut back on and off and shows the apple screen. HELP! If i don't have warranty what will apple do? Is there a price i can pay to help them fix it? THANKS
 
Have you tried restoring it completely? I think thats your only option, IF itunes finds your ipod. I think that could be because of malfunctioning software, and they should fix it, even without warranty.
