iTouch screen issue? (shadows inside/under the screen)?

I just noticed a large, shadowy splotch on the bottom left part of my itouch. I believe this to be condensation, but I am not sure as I have never seen this before with any device. Could it be something caused by a signal from my new android phone (they were both in my pocket today) or some other malfunction, or is it condensation as I suspect? Has anyone had this issue before and what are some possible solutions? Will I need to replace my screen, and if so is it under warranty?
