Jahvid Best has flashed spectacular potential in his short time in the NFL. However, his future is now in doubt. He suffered a concussion at the end of last season and coming into camp this year, he’s still not cleared. To suffer from a concussion for that long raises all kinds of red flags.
Even worse, Jahvid Best was slowed in college with concussions. For an NFL running back, getting hit is just a part of the game. It’s going to be difficult for the Detroit Lions to trust a running back who could be one big hit away from being out for the season.
In fantasy football, you should avoid Jahvid Best if at all possible. He might be good for a late-round gamble — but that’s about it.
