he fulfill the Hebrew prophecies? I mean, saying “Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies,” isn’t really saying much. The OT is a translation of Hebrew Scriptures with which Hebrew people themselves don’t agree. Just one example; the Hebrew prophecies talk of the messiah being born of a ‘young woman.’ It doesn’t say anything about virgin birth; the virgin birth myth is something that the Christians added to their myth, probably because their myth was in competition with other myths going around at the time like Mithras and Horus. So if you hear a Christian saying, “Jesus fulfilled the Hebrew Scriptures;” that’s saying something, but you probably won’t ever hear a Christian say that. Do you think it’s because Christians know that the Hebrew Scriptures relating to the messiah don’t back up the Christian translation of those scriptures?
