Hello,
My name is Tom and I am 36 years old.
I drink very infrequently now maybe once a month to once every few months although i was in the past a very heavy drinker.
I am not sure how long this has been going on but for a while now the morning after going out for drinks my left knee aches. Its a pretty bad pain and not associated with any injury that I know of. The pain is gone by the following day.
Someone suggested to me that it sounds a bit like gout. But I have also read that the pain with gout is generally the toes, and should be associated with more than one joint i would expect from what I read. And this answer seems less likely also due to my age.
Well I will probably see a doctor about this soon and the obvious answer of why not just not drink isn't really what I was looking for either as I am not as much worried about the pain as I am ithat there something more concerning than discomfort i.e. kidney, or liver issues etc.
Thanks
Tom

as we get older it gets harder and harder for a body to process alcohol.
i wouldnt drink anymore until you see a dr. you could be doing yourself a lot of damage.
