The mormons are no ore gullible than anyone who believes in any of the religions. They all have silly stories about their origins. Why would one be any more ridiculous than the others?
 
Well, when you really look at them, pretty much all origins of religions are pretty fanciful. So I suppose a better question would be, how well do you have to be able to suspend disbelief to believe in ANY religion.
 
About as gullible that you need to be to believe in talking snakes and virgins giving birth.
