I would like to know if there's a woman out there who has experienced both and if they really are equally painful???

The reason I ask is because I have had kidney stones continuously for about 4 years and I've had doctors tell me that many women compare that pain to childbirth. While the kidney stones hurt like hell, they don't even compare to the cramps I get during that time of the month. I have endometriosis which can cause extremely painful cramping and when I told one of my doctors about how bad they were and that they were way worse than kidney stones he said that it's possible that the cramps I get are equal to actual contractions with a woman in labor.

I've had these cramps every month since I was 12. I had to stay home from school 3 or 4 days a month and it caused a lot of problems with my grades not to mention the countless jobs I have lost from having to call off so much because of them.

Anyway, I guess I'm just curious to know if anyone else is in my situation and has had children. I think if my cramps really are that bad then when and if I do have kids I would be used to the contraction part but I will never know till it happens.

So, are the pains comparable in your experience??

My wife had a 6mm kidney stone about 6 months after giving birth to our daughter.

She said the kidney stone pain was about 100 times WORSE than the childbirth
