Last episode on burned DVD freezes and skips?

OK, I'm a little irritated now. I've been trying to burn some episodes of a really great anime but every time I get a disc done, it always freezes and skips on the last episode somewhere. I'm using DVD-Rs and Windows DVD Burner. It has been good to me in the past. Occasionally it will tell me that it failed to burn a disc (after it just finished) and i'll take the disc out and try it in my DVD player and it works fine. It worked perfectly with some movies I burned but it seems to be acting up on the anime episodes. Does anyone know what's causing this problem and how to fix it or if there is a better, faster, and higher quality FREE burner than Windows DVD Burner? I would really appreciate any feedback. This little problem is ruining my good DVD-Rs and I need some assistance. Help please?
Well, i'm gonna try Cyberlink's Power2Go and see what it can give me. My burner is about 2 years old, (the whole computer is) but it seems to have kept together fairly well. I don't know if windows is just failing me or if my burner's going bad. thanks though :)
 
You can try something like Nero or Cyberlink Power2Go.. Did you set the "Verify after burning" option.... that will verify that the files have been written properly. Also are you using a good brand of CD/DVD???? Also how old is your Writer???
