...camera away. What's next? Might take a few trainspotter friends down to Macc. over the weekend and have notebooks out and cameras at both ends!

Thanks for your answer, Mrs. Teacosy...but wonder if this will put railway magazines out of business. It may seem like a 'tabloidish' question, but what will happen when a 13 year old is on the platform snapping a Euston-Piccadilly express - where will he end up next? In care?

A railway station as is a bus station a public place . The owners of this station could if they wish put up a notice to say "no photography" They are quick enought to put up "no smoking" signs. However I would bet my last bottom dollar that no such sign existed or even has been installed after this stupid event.
 
quite right too, wants to spot trains eh well go to museum like normal people, besides you take this across board like planes etc and u see the reasoning behind it. mind you there is the argument that this and other things is just a hobby where does one draw a line and does a line need to be drawn, me thinks this security thing is going too far at times, one can understand filming certain establishments but not trains.
 
This woman no doubt a child of the third reich is what this country has now become. We will soon have children turning their parents into party headquarters for not towing the party line. They will then be re-educated in special camps or never seen again. Thankyou new Labour.
