Months ago I had a very small painful lump in my left armpit. It could only be detected by pressing firmly. It was there for a few days and then it was gone and so was the pain. Since then, I periodically have dull pain in that area but there is no lump. It is a deep pain, it almost feels lymphatic or even muscular. It is not near my breast but up in my armpit. I'm afraid to go to the doctor because I fear the worst. I know that sounds stupid. I am a 36 year old female. Any ideas of what this could be ?
