if its unlocked it should mean you can go with any carrier in my experience so if he is saying it can only be used by a particular company that should mean its locked or he doesnt have a clue what he's talking about either way you wont know until you receive it just make sure you pay via paypal so you are protected if you want to return it.
 
So i won an lg renoir on ebay. My carrier is att and i know what an unlocked phone is and stuff, but the seller claims it can only be used on tmobile but he says it's unlocked...is there any truth to this? is this possible? here's the ad if it helps...please help out since i have to pay for this =P
