Liberals love to complain about Bush's deficit. What do they say about Obama's?

Obama is promising $1 trillion deficit every year until we climb out of the recession.

Suddenly, I hear the sound of crickets.

Liberals, what say you?

The government should be run exactly the opposite of private enterprise.

During good economic times, you need to cut spending and pay down the debt. There's less demand on welfare and unemployment. There's plenty of private investment to develop the nation. People are working and spending and the economy is doing well without much government spending.

During bad times, it's just the opposite. As private spending dries up, people lose their jobs and draw more on unemployment and welfare. They lose insurance and retirement and draw more on social security and emergency medicine care. The government doesn't exist to make a profit, it exists to benefit the people. The government needs to pick up the slack and employ the people who are out of work. Spending on infrastructure is the most effective way to prime the economy. During bad economic times, the risks of large deficits (while substantial) are worth it. These are the worst economic times in decades and the amount of spending needed to change course quickly is incredible.

Obama recognizes this. He's been saying that we'll need incredible deficits for about 2 years and as soon as possible, we'll need to slash spending to pay for it.

those are the same crickets obama is hearing in his head right now. lol.

Liberal don't care what happens to this country. All they care about is having a liberal as a president.
