Lifespan for a 1993 Acura Vigor. Are they good cars?

I am thinking about buying a 1993 Acura Vigor for $500. It has 256k miles on it. I have looked all over and can't find a mileage lifespan for these cars. I want to buy it as a first car. My dad is a good mechanic and can do all the general work, oil changes, spark plugs ect. But we are not looking to have to spend much to keep it maintained. Like if there is any known common problems with these cars I wanna know. Could you please help? Is it a good deal for $500 dollars. It has been well maintained. PLEASE HELP!
