Also a good way not to download viruses is not to download anything below 3,000 kb in size, A music file is between 3,000kb-10,000kb in size, depending on its length,

Use this, and you reduce your chances or viruses.
 
It's only illegal to SHARE. So even the unpaid for version is still legal if you turn off your file sharing. That's my understanding anyway.
 
or is it one of those illegal things to do that isnt going to end anytime soon? (and yes i realize there is a legal form of limewire, im talking about the illegal one)
im not saying i use it. i dont have an account or anything. my cousin uses it and im only wondering what the chances are of her getting caught
 
The MPAA/RIAA goes after sharers, not downloaders. Also I recommend bittorrent over limewire.
 
Well, you CAN get caught, but there are still millions of people who use it. The chances of you actually getting caught are slim to none. Only if you are downloading or sharing LOTS of stuff, are your chances increased. If you just download a few songs/videos/etc every now and then, your pretty safe. Just set Limewire to not share ANYTHING.

I hope you understand time and effort was put into that song that you are stealing, and you are too cheap to pay 99 cents for a song! What the hell??

limewire is legal... its the things on limewire that arnt.

yes you can get caught. its a relatively small percentage of it happening, but if it does happen they like to throw the books on you just to make a point to all others...
 
Apparently people do get caught and fined and all that...But I don't think it's going to end anytime soon. I used to use it a lot but I got so many viruses.
